I don't know about you but lately, I have been struggling to do anything related to school. I'm not sure if it is just a senioritis thing or if it is just an everyone thing. I have always been pretty motivated to do school things up until a couple of weeks ago. Have no idea what happened, I think I am just physically and mentally drained, and most of us get that way toward the end of the year. Here are 10 ways to help you stay motivated for the rest of the year.

Summer is only three months away

Just think after these next two months, you can relax by the pool and get your tan on.

Moving on to bigger and better things

My true motivation right here, I just keep thinking to myself — two more months and then I am off to college to do what I love every single day. That's pretty freaking awesome.

Remind yourself of long-term goals

I have to remind myself sometimes of why I need to do well now and why it is important to finish strong — to succeed later.

Schedule in some downtime

Sometimes the reason we are not motivated to do anything is because we haven't set time out for ourselves, we get so busy with school, job, friends but we don't allow ourselves to take a breather and sometimes I am just as quilty.

Be a kid for a while

Everything you do probably revolves around your school life. So drop the backpack for a bit and go out. Forget that you are a student and just be in the moment.

Change your routine

Mix up your routine. You might be in a little funk because you do the same thing every day. Try something new!!!

Have breaks in between your homework or study sessions

As the weather gets nicer, it feels like when you are doing homework or studying you are missing out. Rather than fighting the urge set up a time to have breaks. Give yourself time to breathe.

Get good sleep

I know personally when I am tired and did not get much sleep the night before, I get less motivated to do anything, especially school work.

 Get organized!

The more you know what you have to do in advanced the better off you will be. I know that when I was doing all the college forms and stuff. I had a plan and it got me to do what I needed to do. This will help you stay more motivated than ever.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
