5 Reasons You Should See The Most Underrated Movie Of 2016
The Christian Beat

Priceless released in theaters on October 14th. Opening weekend, it grossed $703,200. This movie was produced by the popular Christian worship band, For King & Country, and stars Joel Smallbone, one of the frontmen of the band.

This movie has been put under the genre of drama and is inspired by true events. Silver-lined with a Christian message, the story is about a man who, while suffering from the death of his wife and who recently lost custody of his daughter, decides to make extra cash by driving a box truck across the country with no question asked, only to discover two women are the cargo he is carrying. He realizes then that these women are victims of human trafficking. This story revolved around the idea that people are priceless, and that there is a better way of life other under the cruel hand of human trafficking.

If the trailer wasn't enough for you, here are some reasons why you should see Priceless:

1) First off, it's a freaking action movie.

This movie, unlike a lot of Christian movies, is full of intense action. This movie will have you on the edge of your seat with your heart racing.

2) Joel Smallbone has great hair.

I kept wondering what hair product he uses because my fiance's birthday is coming up.

3) Priceless reminds you that you are worth something.

The whole message of the movie is that you are worth something. You are worth something, not because of another person or your job, but you're worth something because you exist.

4) This is another weapon against Human Trafficking.

Priceless has a strong message against human trafficking. The movie gives us a very real and powerful example of how victims are sucked into the world of sex trafficking and then shows a way out. The movie shows that we have a choice for something better, that there is hope for another option.

On behalf of the men, women, and children trapped in slavery here in American, thank you. Thank you for shining a light on slavery through this beautiful film. We are honored to partner with Priceless and hope its message will inspire a new wave of awareness and FREEDOM! - Jenni Brown, Campaign Director of the END IT Movement

5) The song for the movie is your new favorite song.

If you choose to do one thing this weekend, go see this movie. Support this cause. Help spread awareness of the severity of human trafficking.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
