With another June, comes another E3. And with another E3 goes any future plans of having a full wallet. Why are games so pricey... and why do I want to buy all them?
If you don't know what E3 is, here's a great summer from their Wiki page, "The Electronic Entertainment Expo, commonly referred to as E3, is a premier trade event for the video game industry. Presented by the Entertainment Software Association (ESA), it is used by many developers, publishers, and hardware and accessory manufacturers to introduce and advertise upcoming games and game-related merchandise to retailers and members of the press."
In short, it's a place where the big name game people reveal their upcoming titles.
Of course with the announcement of games, comes the reign of hype they can bring. Below are 13 titles I'm most excited to for... I just wish the wait was shorter.
1. "The Elder Scrolls VI."
Bethesda Softworks
With the huge success "Skyrim" was, and continues to be, it was only a matter of time until the next installment in the Elder Scrolls series was announced.
2. "Super Mario Party."
Nintendo
"Mario Party" is a classic that has never grown old. Would I risk losing all my stars to pure luck? Hell yeah.
3. "Spider-Man."
Sony Interactive Entertainment America
The OG Spider-Man games of the early 2000s were something like I've never experienced before — but since then no superhero game has came close. My hope is that this will be the game to change that.
4. "Pokémon Let's Go."
Nintendo
It's a Pokemon game for the Switch. I don't know what else needs to be said...
5. "Super Smash Bros. Ultimate."
Nintendo
... and if I didn't need to say anything about the Pokemon game, then I don't need to even breath a sound for this one. Super Smash Bros is one of my all time favorite series. The fact that this version is bring back every single character is just unbelievable. Good luck finding a Switch for sale when this game releases.
6. "Battlefield V."
Battlefield
I've been a battlefield fanboy since 2002 when "Battlefield 1942" came out. I may not trust EA, but Dice knows where it's at.
7. "Cyberpunk 2077."
Cyberpunk Team
I hadn't heard of this game until E3, but I'm glad I did. From the creators of The Witcher series this futuristic shooter looks exciting and fresh in terms of originality.
8. "Shadow of the Tomb Raider."
Tomb Raider
Never really been a fan of the films but the 2013 game really got my into it. I could shoot arrows at things all day long.
9. "Last of Us 2."
The Last of Us
No lie, I'm just excited for the cut scenes in this. The first game had some of the best I've ever seen.
10. "Dying Light 2."
Dying Light
I just recently got into the first installment of this and had an absolute blast playing the co-op campaign. I hope this next one will be able to recreate that feeling.
11. "Wolfenstein: Youngblood."
Bethesda
I just love killing Nazis. Always brings a smile to my face. :)
12. "Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order."
Four words: Single. Player. Star. Wars. Yes, please.
13. "Assassin’s Creed Odyssey."
Ubisoft
While EA may not know how to do a game, Ubisoft still has some hope. I'm looking forward to the different setting/era in this new game.
14. "Fallout 76."
Bethesda
If you didn't know, this game will be an online multiplayer game. Honestly, I'm not 100% sold on the idea of an online Fallout game.. but I'm willing to give it a try.
15. "Just Cause 4."
Just Cause
These games are just dumb fun. The stuff you can do in this game makes no sense, but it makes for a lot of fun.
