The moment we have all been waiting for is finally here (and we didn't even know that we were waiting for it):
Are you sick of hearing a boring, annoying, robot voice giving you directions? Do you wish there was a cooler voice guiding you on your journey? Well, we are all in luck. Everyone's favorite voice on the planet is now a GPS setting. Have you ever said to yourself, "I wish Morgan Freeman could narrate my entire life?" So have I, but this is the next best thing. The fairly new app called "Waze," which is owned by Google, has recently added a new voice setting and it is none other than Morgan Freeman's. Apparently, his voice was the most requested addition to the navigation app by far, and this is not a surprise. He has literally played God...twice.
Just imagine the most soothing and wise sounding voice in the world guiding you to the nearest gas station or McDonald's. Not only does Morgan Freeman just tell you which turns to make, many of his phrases include inspirational messages too. One phrase included in the app is: "You've arrived. It's been my honor and duty to see you through this mission." That would make an average trip to Walmart seem way more interesting. And the best part is, all of this is totally free! All you have to do to get it is go to the app store and download "Waze" (for free). Once it has downloaded, you go to the settings icon shaped like a gear, click sound, then voice language, then Morgan Freeman, and you are ready to go.
Unfortunately, this amazing feature is not a permanent one. It is rumored that Morgan Freeman's voice is on "Waze" temporarily as an ad campaign for his role in the new movie: "London Has Fallen." The movie comes out on March 4th, and Morgan is playing the Vice President of the United States. It is a clever promoting strategy, but a very sad one. The exact date of when Freeman's voice will be pulled from the app is unknown, so you should hurry up and download Waze now before it is too late! Hopefully, they decide to extend the feature because of its popularity, but even if they don't, Waze still has other cool characters and voices to choose from. Supposedly, Arnold Schwarzenegger's voice will be making an appearance in the near future as well.
"Is there a movie I think I should have won an Oscar for? Yeah. All of them."
Yeah, we think so too, Morgan.
