Moon Township, hometown of 24,185 residents. You could say we have a few things going for us. We have one of the few drive-ins left and we are close to the airport. We even have some great local diners and a Primanti's. However, if we want something more than diner food, we have to journey off to places like Sewickley or Robinson. Let's be honest, Moon Township could use a facelift in its chain restaurants.

Here are 10 chain eateries Moon Township absolutely needs:

1. Panera

This is my go-to place to eat. You can never go wrong here, they have a plethora of options. The You Pick Two deal always makes my heart happy. They also know how to get you with that 99 cent bakery item.

2. Walnut Grill

Someone else picked up on the You Pick Two deal. This place is swanky and the food is mouthwatering. This is just the place that Moon Township needs. In fact, I'm heading there for dinner tonight! If only, they had it in Moon Township though.

3. Chipotle

I'm that weirdo who doesn't get a bowl. I'm also that pain who wants chicken tacos with hard shells. Yet, I propose we should get a Chipotle. It'll make everyone happy. No longer will you have to drive out of your way to get your Chipotle fix. Problem solved.

4. Moe's

If you're against Chipotle and are on team Moe's, rest assured. We can have the best of both worlds. I always love the quesadillas they have and their queso. Can't forget the queso. This is a must.

5. First Watch

Every basic white girl's brunch dreams. You get your own thermos of coffee. Enough said. Okay, they also have great food for brunch.

6. Buffalo Wild Wings

The first word in their restaurant is buffalo. What more do you need? They have great deals and everyone loves wings, beer, and sports. Their buffalo chicken wraps are my absolute favorite. Just imagine watching all the Penn State games in here.

7. Chick-Fil-A

Moon Township needs Chik-Fil-A in its life. I don't think I've ever met someone who doesn't like Chik-Fil-A. Waffle fries and their lemonade are to die for. So, anyone wanna start creating blueprints for this?

8. Saga

We don't have many options when it comes to Japanese food. That problem would easily be solved with a Saga. Hibachi dinners and sushi rolls for days.

9. Olive Garden

Endless soup, salad, and breadsticks. Must I say more? Their breadsticks are addicting. You can't just have one. They do have some other pretty grand Italian dishes too.

10. Applebee's Neighborhood Grill and Bar

Yes, You're probably thinking, why? It's another place to eat that almost any hometown has. Anyone except for us has it! Fun fact, they have $1 margaritas. I bet you wanna have one in Moon Township right now. Yeah, you're welcome.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
