Anyways.

This week I wanted to upgrade my weekly layout because I wasn't feeling the one I used for the first week and come up with a page to help me keep myself in track of how to contact professors.

LIKES

- Again, I got to make everything myself. I think that's the thing I'm enjoying most about this adventure that I'm embarking on. I get to take the design skills that I'm working so hard for in college and applying them to my everyday life.

- This layout was 100,000,000 times more athletically pleasing. I could see it in the eyes of everyone I showed it to, it was definitely appealing.

- I went back to my Foods I Want To Make page and actually tried two of the recipes from my Pinterest boards! This is like a life goal of every person who aspires to be a real Pinterest-er.

- I used the professor contact page - twice - when I needed to email professors. It was nice to just have everything in one spot and I didn't have to get on D2L, navigate to the syllabus, find the contact info, yada, yada, yada.

DISLIKES

- Although there was the a to-do's place, I felt like I didn't actually have an reason to come back to this page... which is the point of keeping a planner.

R.I.P. to this beautiful design.

Week Three

This coming week, I wanted to focus on the ability to add things and increase how often I looked at the week - because I wasn't really doing that before. Also, I had a friend ask how I was keeping track of my tasks and I realized I wasn't.

After a lot, and I mean a lot of Pinterest searching and looking for things that will make me use my planner more, I found this pin and started. I wanted to replicate the layout, but make it more for myself.

My "Week @ A Glance" gives me a quick look for times I need to be places. Right next to that I have my weekly to-dos. Things I need to get done for the week, but don't have a due date, necessarily. On the opposite page is a daily spot with things I need to do on that day.

Another thing many people do that I liked a lot was some type of quote on the pages. On the left hand page - a quote to keep my spirits lifted. On the right hand page is a quote I'm considering for a tattoo and I want it to to be something I see regularly right now.

Stay tuned for next week and where my bullet adventures take me next!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
