Six times per year, Monster Energy finds new or emerging artists and organizes a tour around the country. For this one, they brought Waterparks, As It Is, Chapel, and Sleep On It and the result was amazing. Check them out.
Sleep On It
Sleep On It is a pop-punk band
from Chicago who just recently released their first full length album, Overexposed.
Don't sleep on this group (bad pun intended). Just listen to the title
track, A New Way Home, and you'll be hooked on their sound.
Chapel
Chapel is an indie-pop duo from Georgia formed in 2016. Even though it was just the two of them on stage, they had enough presence to fill the room. Keep your eye out for their first EP Sunday Brunch, scheduled for release on November 17th.
As It Is
As It Is, a pop-punk band based out of Brighton, England, brought their high-energy, melodic sound out in full swing. They have a solidly loyal fan base in Phoenix, I recognized several faces from previous tours, and for good reason. You can't not have a good time when they take the stage.Waterparks
Waterparks is a pop-punk band from Houston, Texas formed in 2011. I grew up in south Texas and at almost every concert I went to these guys were outside playing their music and selling some CDs. They even brought an acoustic guitar out in a venue parking lot somewhere in Austin and we sat around playing songs and talking about music. Their work ethic is unparalleled. If you're in the mood for some danceable pop-punk music that will be stuck in your head for days, this is your band.
