If You Had The Power To Read Minds, Knowing The Pro's And Con's Would You Take It Or Leave It?
Taylor Allston

We all wonder exactly what goes through someone else’s mind. Not everyone speaks their mind completely. In many cases, someone may want to know each and everything that goes through their significant other’s mind in fear of dishonesty or simply wanting to know how they really are feeling in a moment. If you were given the power of mind reading for a moment, would you use it? Who would you choose to use that power on?

It seems like a simple choice until you weigh in all the factors. What you may read in another person’s mind may completely change how you feel about them forever. Now, this could be either positive or negative depending on what you absorb after analyzing their thoughts. You may learn that the person is overall honest and has good intentions or you may learn that they are the spawn of Satan and want to cause harm to those closest to them.

Everyone is guilty of withholding much of what goes through their mind either out of respect for those around or in fear of how someone will take what they have to say. So, what if you read into what mind that is holding back for their own reasons? We hold back often to protect those closest to us. Everyone needs time to analyze their own pure or twisted thoughts before bringing them to the surface.

With those factors in mind would you still use the power in the moment? Knowing what you read will never be unread. Knowing that some thoughts need to time to be analyzed before someone can grasp them the right way. However, there is still the chance of a positive finding. It's a risk you're taking when going through someone's thoughts.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
