When there comes a time for a united people to terminate their ties to the political structure set forth to maintain the principles outlined in its Constitution, it is only polite, out of respect to mankind, that they provide the reasons for the separation.

We still hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal and are endowed with certain unalienable rights. Among these rights are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. To secure these rights, governments are created. Their powers are given to them by the power of the people of the land. When that government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right, no, the obligation, of the people to change or exterminate it, instituting a new government structure whose principals will provide better protection to the people's safety and happiness.

A wise man will warn, an entire government structure should not be upended due to frivolous or transient causes. An experienced man will warn that mankind is more likely to suffer evils in silence than to actually do something to change the cause of such suffering. However, it is the duty of the people to overthrow a government structure that has a history of abusing its power to a point of despotism, and put in place a better protector of their rights. These are the atrocities we the people have been silently suffering. These are the events that created a need for political usurpation.

The history of the current American political structure is a history of repeated deceit and injuries, all leading to a silent tyranny of these United States. To prove this, let facts be submitted to a candid world.

It has slowly eroded civil liberties by abusing the citizens’ right to privacy, collecting data from any average American’s phone records in an abuse of Section 215 of the Patriot Act and surveilling citizens without a warrant.

It stole money, invested by citizens for use in their elderly years, for its own budgeting means. Now, our elderly citizens can barely afford the medications they need, simply to live.

It implemented programs that limited our teachers’ ability to teach, created a one-size-fits-all curriculum for a population of children who all learn differently. Consequently, our children aren’t getting an adequate education, lacking the ability to think critically and, most importantly, question.

It has robbed soldiers, the very people who protect its ability to create laws, of a livable income and resources to overcome the mental illnesses that could come with the job description, all while stuffing its own pockets with a hefty income for a lifetime.

It has allowed itself to be influenced by corporations through lobbyists and campaign donations. It is no longer creating/enforcing laws for the good of the people, but rather for the good of whatever corporation can write the biggest check.

Its defense department ignored desperate pleas for help while a U.S. Embassy was brutally attacked by Islamic militants – then lied about the cause for those attacks.

It forced individual citizens to make purchases from private companies in the name of making healthcare affordable for all. Forcing citizens to purchase anything is a direct disregard of their individual rights, not to mention that many working-class families still cannot afford healthcare premiums and will be fined every year until they are able to do so.

It has neglected to uphold the many amendments of the constitution, specifically the 10th amendment. Anything not expressly stated within the constitution should be left up to the states. Amendments to the constitution are possible, but this is also ultimately up to the states – something the current government has blatantly ignored.

It exempted itself from the very laws it imposes on its citizen. In doing so, effectively ceasing to be representative of the governed population.

With every occurrence of tyranny, we have petitioned for redress, but it was only met with more injuries. “A prince whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a tyrant, is unfit to be the [governing body] of a free people.”

We have warned you of the consequences for not listening to the people you govern. We have appealed to your commitment to uphold the constitution. Both of which have fallen onto deaf ears. You have disregarded our innate rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. We must, therefore, consent in the necessity to denounce the original votes that paved your way to Office.

America was created to be a representative country. You now live decades in your glass towers, imposing laws for a lifestyle you have never lived. You, our leaders, have failed to represent us. You have become the very tyrannical powers our founding fathers wrote the constitution to avoid. Therefore, you are in direct violation of your contract between the 50 sovereign states. We, the citizens of the United States of America, solemnly publish and declare, that you are fired. We demand an entire reconstruction of all branches of federal government in order to return a government structure truest to the constitution.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
