7 Vegan-Friendly Places To Eat In The Twin Cities

It is sometimes quite difficult to find a place to take a loved one who is vegan or vegetarian or if you are one yourself you might have trouble finding a place yourself. Most restaurants have only one or two dishes that a vegan or vegetarian can eat. The options are pretty limited at most places. I have created a list of restaurants in the Twin Cities that offer a fantastic vegan or vegetarian experience. Even if you aren't a vegan or vegetarian I recommend giving these places a try!

1. Common Roots Cafe-

Common Roots cafe is located in the Uptown neighborhood of Minneapolis, Minnesota. They serve food made from scratch and use local and organic ingredients to create great dishes. Their menu has many vegan and vegetarian options that won't leave you disappointed. I highly recommend trying their breakfast burrito or sweet potato hash.

2. Ginger Hop-

Ginger Hop is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It has a fun atmosphere and great service. If you are looking for a cute place for a date stop looking because here is is! Their vegan menu options are clearly marked which is great. I recommend trying their Yellow Curry! SO good!

3. Hard Times Cafe-

A vegetarian cafe in Minneapolis with an extensive menu that includes vegan pancakes, stir-fry with choice of tempeh, tofu, or seitan, and much more. Hard Times Cafe is very affordable, has a great staff and atmosphere, and food choices.

4. Whole Sum Cafe-

Whole Sum Cafe is located in the Lynnhurst neighborhood of Minneapolis. It focuses on healthy choices. The menu includes juices, smoothies, smoothie bowls, salads, quinoa bowls, snacks and hot drinks. Everything is made with no concentrates, sugars, purees or additives, and always made fresh.

5. Agra Culture-

Agra Culture is a place for everyone. It has a contemporary atmosphere. It has many vegan options available. It is a great balance for vegans with non-vegan friends. The team behind Agra Culture is passionate in truly clean eating and real food. There are three locations in Minneapolis.

6. Black Coffee and Waffle Bar-

Soooo delicious! Great place to eat at with friends. They have coffee and waffles (with various toppings). Offers a vegan waffle as well and staff will assist with selecting appropriate toppings. They also have almond and soy milk coffee available for drinks. Highly recommend this place!

7. Caffeto-

Very lovely atmosphere. Another great place to go to catch up with friends. Caffetto is a coffee house with vegan sandwiches, vegan soups, and vegan baked goods supplied by outside vendors.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
