You know; doubt is a fickle thing. 

So here's a thank you to all who doubted me. A thank you, to all who underestimated me. Because of you, I can say the four words "Oh yes I can...". Though you might think that your strong willed words pierced me, but the only thing that pierced me harder was the want and will to prove you wrong. All of the times to where you laughed in my face and tore me down, it only built me higher as I rose to fight the task at hand. Proving my worth.

I know not what your fight might be. It might be proving to your parents that you'll finish college with the major of your choice. It might be staring in the face of your opponent as you prepare to march yourself down the field to score the winning goal, or It might just be fire that fuels inside of you when people say that the past and what you were brought up into was what defined you as a whole. Fight on. 

To all who doubted me, thanks for putting that spark inside of me. The spark that gave me the determination to get up every morning and accomplish the task at hand while feeling as if the entire world was at my back. Thank you for making me not only stronger physically, but mentally as well.

Thank you for giving myself the sense of pride when I look in the mirror and can say, "I did it". Thank you for making me obsessed with the task at hand. Because we all know that it takes grit to continue along hard paths. 

Finally, I would like to say thank you to the person who was willing to tear me down, so that I am now able to build myself up.

 Because now, I am able to say these four powerful words, "Oh yes I can..." and I will.
