Dear Seventh Grade Self,
You made it to Middle School, congratulations! Just a few more years and you'll be on your way to college.
In the meantime, trust me when I say this: "Phat Farm" shoes will go out of style, so don't stress about not owning a pair. While we are hitting the topic of style, make sure that you do not "sag" your backpack-it is not cool and it only makes you seem sloppy. Bangs...unless they are going to the side do not even consider cutting them again, show off your forehead!
Acne is just one of the terrible characteristics of being a teenager, so the sooner you accept it and realize that washing your face every night is worth the extra task the quicker you'll get over this stage. Also, if you know that chocolate and stress bring about the inevitable pimple please don't combine both forces two days before picture day.
This is the year where you have to take risks. Although being in choir is pretty awesome, you may want to experience band, too. Another risk you have to take and accept is that of moving at the end of the school year. Yes, it's going to be emotional, and packing will be a pain, but in the end it'll be worth it.
Don't take offense to the fact that boys may be interested in the girls who are not "into school" and would much rather act out. Trust me when I say that waiting to date is worth it, so don't feel neglected. Instead, take pride in this! For the good apples are high up in the tree, and only a brave and courageous fellow knows this to be true.
Enjoy your teenage years! Dance like nobody is watching even when everyone is staring at you. Continue to keep family as your number one priority, and keep strong through your faith in the one who keeps you whole.
Last but not least, love yourself and continue to hold your morals and values at the highest peak.
With love and respect,
Your Future Self.
ps. When given the chance to feed the classroom pet please do not try to be the savior of the mice and let it run free. It is the circle of life and no matter how painful it may be it has to be done one way or another.
