It is funny how nine months ago I had butterflies in my stomach and I was just entering college for the first time. We were strangers. I didn't even know your name, if you were lucky I might have even remembered your face the next time I saw you. But for some odd reason we connected and to this day I would consider you one of my greatest friends. It has been whirlwind of months that feels like years and days that flew by which brings us here. With just five days remaining of my freshman year at college, I could not be more relieved but also saddened. I am happy to be done with schoolwork, classwork, and finals. However, going back home means that I will not be able to see you everyday. I will miss hearing about your day and you complaining about what you have to do for tomorrow in terms of schoolwork.
It has been one heck of a freshman year. We have done so much together, that I really couldn't list them all. Just know that you have made my freshman year a memorable one and I am already looking forward to next year. We will no longer be freshman and already know about the school. We have figured out the cool aspects of the campus and what is lame. I know that sophomore year will top freshman year but it won't hold the same place that freshman year does in my heart.
It has been a pleasure to know who you are, where you came from and what you want to do. Your dreams for the future sounds fascinating and I wish you all the best. This summer as we go our separate ways, I eagerly look forward to the stories you have to tell. I look forward to reconnecting with my friends from back home too that I apologize in advance if we don't talk frequently. We live busy lives and sometimes life gets in the way of friendships. There is also the factor of distance and how some of us live across the country or another continent. Just please know that I can't wait to see you again. I can't wait to make more memories and see how you are. What you have been up to and how you have changed.
Until next time, thanks for the memories.
