Memorable Moments From 'America's Next Top Model'

After 22 seasons, hundreds of models, and thousands of crazy moments, "America's Next Top Model" has ended. For fans who have been watching the show since its beginning like me, this is some pretty sad news. Tyra Banks had everyone who watched "smizing", "booty-tooching," and "modeling head to toe" wherever they went. The show made for some really entertaining reality television, and I wanted to share some of the moments I always go back to when I think about the show.

1. Tyra yells at Tiffany

I think everyone, not just fans of the show have at least heard of this "ANTM" moment. After being eliminated, Tiffany ends up feeling the wrath of Tyra Banks because she seems to not care about how the show ended up for her. It's one of those moments where you have to (and want to) watch it over and over again, because it's somewhat shocking but also kind of funny.

2. Anything Miss Jay did

Miss Jay was one of the funniest parts of the show, not to mention that his catwalk was always better than most of the models! One thing I loved that Miss Jay did in earlier seasons was wear one particular article of clothing, whether it was a wig or a bow tie, and as more girls got eliminated, whatever he was wearing grew bigger. It was just one little thing that made the show unique and hilarious.

3. Fights between the models

Things can get pretty catty and intense when you stick a bunch of girls in a house together. And this show was no exception. Teams were formed, tricks were played, and fights broke out. The ones that always caught me off guard, though, were the ones that happened during panel and in front of the judges. You never knew if a fight could mean someone was going home.

4. Tyra trip fakeouts

One of the best parts about each season was finding out where the remaining girls were going to be sent off to. It was always an amazing "high fashion" location. But the news always came with a twist. Tyra liked to play tricks on the girls, and most trip surprises came after she had the girls in complete shock or disbelief at something.

5. Models quitting

After a certain point, the show either became too much for some girls or they realized modeling wasn't for them. Either way, Tyra made it known that she didn't like quitters, and this made for some interesting drama on some of the seasons.

6. Commercials in different languages

Some of the best scenes were when the models had to do challenge commercials. It was even better when they were in different languages. I totally give them credit for trying, but it just shows some of the crazy things these girls had to do in order to "continue on in the hope of becoming America's Next Top Model."

So, there you have it. There are countless more fights, fashion shows, panels, and photoshoots that are memorable from this show. But these are just a few that prove that this show won a lot of people over and that we will always be fans of Tyra and her models.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
