Miami Pop artist Melody Joyce is creating a buzz with her newly released music. In an interview with Joyce, she explained that she started creating music in 2017 because she had often felt like she was the person who had been pushing others to pursue their dreams, and had finally decided to take her own advice. Later that year she went on to create a Gospel EP entitled Romance which incorporated songs like, "I Choose to Trust You," "King of Kings," "Master of Love," and "Romance." She was also able to put these songs out in Spanish, which allowed everyone to enjoy her music. Joyce stated that her favorite song on the EP was, "Master of Love" because she felt that she had put the most effort into the song, and that the lyrics came straight from her heart.

A year after Romance, she released the Pop single, "Light it Up" which was produced by Marcos Castellanos. This song was a complete 180° from her previous music, not only due to the change of music genre, but also because the music's rhythm and tempo. Lyrics in the song like, "Light it up, I've given you my all/You're the light in my soul/Woah oh-oh-oh-oh" were very catchy and also represented her Gospel roots.

With the positive feedback she received from "Light It Up," Joyce released the Christmas album, My Cozy Christmas. Tracks on this album include; "Christmas Time," "Santa Knows (All I Want for Christmas)," “Angel," "Esta Navidad," "Linda Navidad," and "Mi Angel." These songs show a nice blend of both English and Spanish lyrics and themes. Joyce said that this album was very fun to make because Christmas-time is her favorite time of the year, and what better way to celebrate the season than with a Christmas album. Joyce made these songs very unique and truly unforgettable by creating a nice blend of unique lyrics, and a truly awesome vibe.

Recently, she released the Pop track, "Won't Give Up" which used a slower melody and beat than her prior Pop single. Lyrics in the song like "Nothing can stop me, I was made for this" and "Life has let me down" show that although Joyce has gone through hardships in her life, she will rise above them. This song received a lot of praise from her growing fan-base, and is the most popular song she has released to date.

Melody Joyce is definitely an artist to watch out for, as she rises above other artists in the Pop music genre. Her voice, combined with her songwriting ability, and her capabilities of blending music together, all make for a fantastic combination. Joyce also has a growing YouTube page, with a segment called "Empower(me)nt" where she talks about setting goals, pain, and commitment. Joyce said that these videos allow her to empower others to take action in their lives, and to be the person that they want to be. Stay updated to Joyce and her latest music by adding her on Apple Music, Spotify, Instagram, or YouTube.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
