Tired of hearing about politics? Yeah, me too. Instead, let’s think about how McDonald's is going to be selling Shamrock Shakes for an extended amount of time before St. Patrick’s Day this year! They will be available starting on Tuesday, February 7th! Wait, there’s more! This addicting drink will be accompanied by four new awesome choices. McDonald's has added the following drinks to the menu: Chocolate Shamrock Shake, Shamrock Chocolate Chip Frappe, Shamrock Hot Chocolate, and the Shamrock Mocha. Hooray!

I cannot wait! I am the type of person who enjoys dunking my french fries in my shakes. If you think I’m weird, don’t knock it until you try it! The shamrock shake is really delicious and if you have never had one, do yourself a favor and go get one!

I will warn you, though: this shake is very addicting, so do not go crazy. One beverage contains 470 calories! Yikes! In the words of country singer Danielle Peck, “These are just some things that I love that are bad for me.”

I am sorry if I ruined the great news for you, but I am going to try to cheer you up now.

There are many things in life that are good in moderation and according to a psychology professor of mine, we should not deny our bodies of our cravings. Have some dessert! We need to satisfy ourselves. I know you are now thinking that I am crazy. However, if you do not satisfy your craving on day one, by day five you will give in and go crazy. So it makes more sense to satisfy your cravings right away.

Being active will also help you. Maybe take the stairs the day you have one of these beverages.

As a broke college student, I won’t be trying all of the new beverages, but I’d love to hear what you guys think about them! Let me know!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
