I think everyone can agree that college is a fun yet extremely stressful time. We have to worry about tough academics as well as gearing up for our careers and also finding time to take care of our physical and mental health. Sometimes, however, it is necessary to take a break and let ourselves unwind. So, here are times college kids just need a McDonald's fries run.

1. When that one kid in the group project isn't pulling their weight

We all know these people. The ones who chill with their phone while you and the rest of the group scramble to get your work done. They offer no help at all and leave you and your team to figure everything out yourself. Sometimes there are more than one of these people in your group and, sometimes, they're all like this and you need to fend for yourself. During times like these, a McDonald's run will do you good.

2. When that one professor sounds like they are speaking a different language

Sometimes you can leave a lecture feeling like your professor just spoke in klingon for an hour. This would be a great time to head on over to the golden arches.

3. When you have early morning classes

Nothing like an after-class treat of delicious, golden fries to wake you up after taking class when it's still dark out.

4. When you're applying for internships

Is there anything more stressful than thinking about your future career? Sitting down to fill out applications with fries by your side will make it less painful, I promise.

5. When you have to do an interview

To celebrate being a winner and a legit adult.

6. When you have to give a speech

Public speaking is the #1 fear in the U.S., even ahead of a fear of death. So, this wouldn't be a bad time for a cheat meal.

7. When the people living above you sound like they're raising a herd of elephants

Seriously, what could they be doing up there that makes their footsteps so dang loud?

8. When you just can't sleep

Whether you're stressing about the next day or just can't get comfortable in that twin bed of yours, some fries might be just the midnight snack you need.

9. When you have to read that one really boring textbook

There's always that one class that has extremely boring reading, and you need to mentally psych yourself up every time you sit down to study. Sitting down with some fries is sure to help.

10. When you have the dorm/apartment to yourself

It is always important to have some alone time. What other way to celebrate than treating yourself??

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
