The tantalizing pancakes, the steaming hot Egg McMuffins, and the beautiful golden hash browns have all been a staple of the McDonald's franchise on their breakfast menu served before 10:30 a.m. However, with recent postings, McDonald's might be serving breakfast all day as early as October.
We all have had that moment when we finally leave the house for breakfast and find out that it is around 10:40 a.m. and realize McDonald's breakfast is over and we cannot fulfill our McMuffin craving.
However, this could all change very soon. McDonald's breakfast could be on track to becoming a regular menu served all day. Based on the memo given to several franchisee's, telling them that they must prepare to serve McMuffin's into the nighttime. An "All Day Breakfast" task force was assembled, and in the memo it states that all day breakfast launch is still an uncertainty.
“Serving all-day breakfast is likely the number one request we hear from McDonald’s customers,” McDonald’s said in a statement to the Wall Street Journal. “We’re testing it out in a few markets to learn more about this possibility, but there’s no news on this yet.” It seems that McDonald's is looking to test it out mostly in their California locations based on the diverse clientele that they serve.
With McDonald's serving breakfast all day, it could potentially add to the more fattening and choleric items that they already have. When you see McDonald's breakfast, it is rare to see a healthy item on their menu. With McDonalds' new ad campaign to show that they offer healthy options, they are forced to balance healthy items with the more fattening items, if they want to continue with their campaign. If McDonald's serves breakfast all day, you can definitely expect to see more healthy options coming your way.
