Ryan McCartan is a 23-year-old actor and singer/songwriter. He was in a little Halloween movie called R.L. Stine's Monsterville: The Cabinet of Souls, where he played the handsome villain (which makes loving the villain seem so right). He is most recently known for his role as Brad in The Rocky Picture Show: Let's Do The Time Warp Again in October 2016. In December, he started a new project where he creates weekly videos for his YouTube Channel!

Each Monday Ryan uploads a new video at 11 am PST.

On Dec 1st Ryan tweeted “Developing a new project that I’m so excited to share with you all – details soon! #MeMonday,” at his handle @ryanmccartan.

Two days later he tweeted “Dusting off the old YouTube channel, getting ready for weekly #MeMonday posts starting this Monday.”

Finally, on December 5th at 11 am PST, the first video was uploaded to his YouTube channel.

I honestly love his videos - how he encourages his viewers to be exactly who they are and to remember everyone is awesome in their own way. As I am writing, I think that so far he has posted four very cool "Me Monday" videos. By the time this article is published on Monday the 9th, he will have 6th videos uploaded. So it is never too late to catch up on these interesting videos. Every Monday, I end my day with the wise words of Ryan McCartan. So far, every week is a new topic and a new take on things that most of us think about everyday.

An overview of his videos: so far they have covered why he started these weekly videos to just funny moments to encouraging viewers to not wait but to start on goals now!

The First Ever Me Monday

In this first video he tells us why he began making these videos. He loves talking to his fans whether it be on Social Media or Snapchat, and he wanted to talk to them on a weekly basics on a variety of topics.

Me Monday #2 - If You Say So

This video focuses on talking positively instead of negatively. Everything effects your mood and thoughts. He reminds his viewers that we all should talk in positive terms.

A Special Holiday Me Monday

Ryan in a Santa hat telling his thoughts in the "Night Before Christmas" tune. This is a must watch. The video of how the seasons have changed so much and the end of the year was coming up faster than we could all believe.

Me Monday #4 - New Year's Resolutions

Different location: his hometown in Minnesota. He talks about how much he hates New Year Resolutions, which after watching the video, makes perfect senses. He encourages his viewers to start before the New Year on their goals for the coming year. I totally agree with that. We all make goals all the time, why wait till January 1st to get started.

Me Monday #5 - Communication

Special appearance and location for this video. Ryan is in New York visiting his sister, Alison, in her apartment. I loved that she joined because their topic this week was on good communication skills. One of the points they made was good eye contact, which I struggle with a lot. Like Ryan demonstrates, he looks everywhere but at Allison when she is talking to him.

It is not too late to catch up on his "Me Monday" videos on his YouTube channel, ryanmccartan .

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
