Maybelline Cosmetics has already released so many new products this year, and they all seem pretty great. Some of my favorites that they released are the new Dream Cushion foundation, Dream creamy highlighting concealing, the Master Camo palette, their new inti-matte nude lipsticks and much more. I have recently bought their new Camo palette, the Dream cushion foundation and brightening concealer. Here, I will review the Camo palette and tell you what I think about it.
First of all, I bought the lightest palette shade they had, in 100 light. The palette is a combination of six different cream colors that are easily blendable. There are two correcting colors, a green to combat redness and a yellow to cover dark circles and to brighten. There are two concealing colors, two slightly different shades of a soft brown. The palette also includes two highlighting colors. One is more matte and peach colored while the other one is a more pink champagne color.
I have not used the two highlighting colors much, but I have used the green and yellow correcting shades as well as both concealing colors as well. The green covers up redness while the yellow covers up dark circles and brightens as well. Below are two of the pictures of my palette, I have been using it for over two weeks now.
As noticed above, I have used the yellow, green, and the two concealing shades. The brush that comes with it has two sides that have brush bristles on it. I use the more blunt side of the brush for covering my acne and my red marks on my face. I use the the more pointed end of the brush to apply the concealing shades and the yellow shade underneath my eyes to cover up my dark circles.
The colors are more wax-based in the palette, so it makes picking up the color to apply on the face a little hard. I end up having to dig a little bit into the color to have it on the brush. Since I use both ends of the brush, I use a fine-bristled brush of my own to blend the colors into my skin to make it more natural.
Overall, I love this palette. It makes it easier to color correct the face. I would definitely recommend this product to others since it is so easy to use and makes the skin look more natural and well-rested! Maybelline Cosmetics is definitely one of the best drugstore makeup brands out there for women, as they hit every single product idea out there. Keep on rocking, Maybelline Cosmetics!!
