Its a new semester and a new schedule, but school in general can become pretty same old, same old. To help with getting through the typical Monday–Friday week, I have collected some meditation rituals according to each day of the week. Now, these sayings don’t need to be practiced while saluting the sunrise in morning yoga, but they are positive reminders to keep you alert and ready to conquer the week.
Monday: “You Can’t Live a Positive Life with a Negative Mind.”
Kick those post-weekend blues by starting the week strong with a fresh outlook. Keep this mantra up throughout the day, and those “case of the Mondays” will quickly disappear.
Tuesday: “You Don’t Have to Figure it All Out to Move Forward.”
You got over the Monday slump and have reached the troublesome Tuesday. You realize you are far from the weekend, and can’t quite see a positive for the day. Remember that just because you can’t see the future doesn’t mean you can’t prepare for it. Tuesdays are a perfect time to pre-plan for the week, because Monday has set the bar for how the week should go, and you have Tuesday to get everything in order.
Wednesday: “I Change My Thoughts, I Change My World.” – Norman Vincent Peale

Thursday: “Either You Run the Day, or the Day Runs You.” – Jim Rohn
Friday: “It Always Seems Impossible Until it Is Done.” Nelson Mandela
The weekend is approaching, and you can now reflect on the week you’ve gone through! Once you look back and realize you successfully survived the week, it makes it seem more possible to finish the day strong. You also have the weekend break to look forward to – Fridays are full of possibilities!
And if these daily mantras don’t do the job, remember the most important and Dori-approved mantra of them all: Just Keep Swimming!
