It's been almost 10 years since the first "Mamma Mia" came out and made us all want to wear glittery boots and dance our hearts away in Greece. 10 years later and the cast is back with a second movie to make our hearts soar to the catchy songs and message of the move.

1. It was authentic

There was no crazy plot twist or blown out story to dramatize the spinoff to catch viewers attention like most spinoffs have. The message of the spinoff was pure and relatable to what motherhood felt like.

2. It was uber relatable

The movie documents Donna's early life before she arrived in the beautiful islands of Greece. Her younger self on the search for her place in the world and her hunger for adventure is something we can all relate to when we feel conflicted on what we're supposed to be fulfilling in this life. Donna shows that sometimes you just have to go with whatever is calling you even though it may be nerve-wracking.

3. It showed the beauty of motherhood

Mother's Day should really be EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Our moms are the ones always there to support us and uplift our spirits on our darkest days. The movie expressively shows the connection that forms between a mom and their child. Sorry, got to go cry now.

4. It encourages us to pursue exploration

The world is so big—and "Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again" wants you to know that and to go out there to see everything it has to offer. To take scary leaps and get out of your comfort zone. Young Donna basically traveled by herself and met three strangers along the way to see what each place had to offer.

5. Family is forever

Throughout the movie, you'll be able to feel the immense love that radiates off each character for one another and how much they prioritize family above all else. It reminds us that family is what keeps us going and that we should never forget that.

6. You only need two good ones

Quality over quantity any day. "Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again" shows that all you really need is two loyal and amazing friends to get through the tough obstacles in life. From endless amounts of encouragement to traveling the world to wiping your tears after a heartbreak, Donna's two besties truly show what real friendship is like.

7. Never stop dancing and singing your heart away

Finally, life is too short to be wasted away boringly. Sing and dance every chance you get and never stop moving. Live life happily, treat others with respect, and doors will open.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
