10 Things You Can Do To Make 2017 One For The Books
Kailey Wright

Every year we set expectations and resolutions for ourselves that more often than not we never go through with. As much as we want to deny that and say we have success its typical for resolutions to last maybe weeks or months. This is not what someone should do going into a brand new year.

Why set one resolution for the whole year when you can write down small things you want to do throughout the year.

Here is my challenge to you all (January 1st or not)

Make a list of the following things to do in the year of 2017 in a way you choose:

1. Make a stranger smile

2. Tell someone you love them

3.Give back to someone in need

4.Try something new

5. Connect with an old friend

6. Remind your parents of your love

7. Lend a helping hand

8. Make an accomplishment

9. Do something special for yourself

10. Make new memories

Now I really don't think this is too challenging to ask for. We often forget to do things like these and what better time to remind yourself to do them than the new year? Go out there and finish this list! Happy New Year everyone lets make 2017 a charitable year for the books in more ways than we can count.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
