Make Your Own Magic

You just have to believe.

Make Your Own Magic

I was solely inspired from my eventful Harry Potter weekend marathon on ABC Family to write an article on the concept of magic. Now I sit here and ponder about that concept so heavily... only because what's the talk with magic when we say it doesn't exist? In my opinion, I believe there is such thing as magic. We just have some time to look for it.

Think about... really why all the myths, why all the stories on magic and non-existing mythical creatures that humans have constantly been claiming for many years? Big Foot. I am so sure a behemoth monster like him exists somewhere in a gigantic forest. The Lochness Monster? Sweet ole Nessa is out there swimming away her dreams. C'mon... there are oceans that are nearly so deep that it turns to absolute darkness. Things are lost such as: Rose's necklace from Titanic, pirate ships even from Neverland. How about Moby Dick? We don't know many whales... I'm sure he is out there in the abyss or the Yeti! Mountains and mountains of snow... one can be too cold to look around for a fellow like him. Those beautiful mermaids... we can't forget about them now. So why claim these as they aren't real when we have yet the whole world to look?

Yeah, I sound crazy, but I am just only dreamer and a curious cat. Let's look back on a few centuries ago when Salem Witch trials were a thing. Witches are the wicked ones of them all. So, witches might have existed. I'm sure if you say a few satanic words here and there that you might get what you didn't mean to wish for. It just doesn't make sense to me where Frankenstein, werewolves, ghosts and whatnot come into play in our fears when everyone brushes it off as a dream or a myth. Ghosts can be real. They truly will be when it's a spirit of a passed loved one. Now, you'll believe. Why claim paranormal activity when we constantly don't believe the realistic outcome. Maybe it's because we struck by fear and the truth. All these movies on fantastical creatures and stories are myths because we refrain from the truth.

There is an unknown or still some parts in our world that have yet to be discovered, but can I only be tackled day by day. Time and history changes and so do stories. Imagine a world of magic like in Harry Potter or Hocus Pocus. How easy would it be to get everything your heart desires. It wouldn't be any different on how we live today. We don't "magic" to manipulate others when most do already. We don't need to "magic" to get everything we want when there's that existing "five finger" rule or the impossible love from your significant other or family member to spoil you. How about those potions and pills that change our emotions and ego? I think that might be alcohol and various new found drugs. How about those criminals? Sound like villains to me. Hmm... it seems that we already live in a world of magic. We live in our own little world of magic such as: hopes for one to get better or one to find a cure for all our deadly diseases, dreams to become your desired profession, true love when you're married with kids and this special concept called pure bliss which exists in the room you are with the people you truly care for.

There is magic within us, we just have to trust our minds and hearts enough to find patience for it.

"Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." -Roald Dahl

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
