Don't be a Toby.

Being that "The Office" is my favorite show (~basic~), I figured I should write *another* article about it. I've seen a few different rankings of the characters in the show, but I don't wholeheartedly agree with any of them. I am aware that I am missing some of what other people might call main characters, like Darryl, Holly, and Jan, but this is a list of the ones that I believe significantly impact the show every episode.

Without further ado, here is my ranking of 17 of the main characters on the best show on Earth:

17. Toby

This is obvious. Don't be stupid.

16. Meredith

Personally, I just don't find her funny, and mostly just think she's kind of gross and not a necessary character.

15. Phyllis

Going along with Meredith, I don't find Phyllis very amusing. I know she's supposed to have the sweet grandma role of the office, but they really skew that with her going in the bathroom with Bob Vance while they're out to dinner with Jim and Pam.

14. Gabe

Although I occasionally find Gabe funny, it's usually only because he's so cringey to watch that it causes more of an uncomfortable laugh than anything.

13. Angela

Angela really bothers me. I know people like her, but the only thing that really defines her is that she's a crazy cat lady who cheats on Andy.

12. Stanley

Stanley has a few good moments, and his facial expressions and the way he deals with Michael can be pretty amusing sometimes.

11. Oscar

Oscar has some solid one-liners, and his reactions to Michael's actions are some of the funniest.

10. Ryan

Ryan: a certifiable dbag. Still can be pretty funny.

9. Kelly

Kelly's easily the most dramatic but has some funny moments.

8. Erin

Erin's a total sweetheart, though her level of common sense is one of the lowest in the office.

7. Creed

Creed's one-liners are arguably one of the best parts of the show.

6. Andy

Did you know he went to Cornell?

5. Pam

Pam's hilarious and her and Jim are #couplegoals -- she doesn't like to think that there are people out there that hate her, so don't be that person.

4. Kevin

Kevin's absolutely one of my favorite characters. Hilarious.

3. Dwight

Ah, the assistant to the regional manager. Dwight is usually awful, but even when he's awful, you have to love him.

2. Jim

This one should be self-explanatory. Those articles about how "Jim is secretly a dick and no one notices" are BS. Jim takes the cake for second best character by a landslide.

1. Michael

When Michael leaves, the show is basically over. The last seasons are nowhere near as good, for no other reason than the simple fact that he is Michael Beyonce, always.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
