As move-in day slowly creeps up, more and more nervous thoughts and questions start popping up in your mind that you have no idea what the answers are. "How much stuff is too much stuff?" "Did I schedule my classes right?"

If you're anything like me and you are the first in your family to go to college in the 21st century, there are many questions that constantly run through your mind. It also doesn't help when no one where you live is going to LSU so you really can't ask for advice or have someone to answer the questions for you.

Here are 20 questions that have certainly run through my head, as well as most soon to be LSU freshman before we walk on campus for move-in day.

1. What if my roommate doesn’t like me?

It's OK if they don't. If y'all don't vibe well together, find some friends on your floor to hang out with.

2. Should I buy my textbooks now or later?

LATER... some classes might not even use one.

3. Did I rent out my fridge and microwave?

You can rent it through the school, or if you're like me and waited too long, buy one from a sophomore that isn't using their's anymore

4. Does LSU have summer work?

No... thank God

5. Is $1,000 enough to sustain me for the fall semester?

$1,000 should be enough from August-December, and if not you can always find an on-campus job.

6. How much clothes do I actually need?

Bring your clothes per semester. For example, I am bringing my summer and fall stuff when I first move-in, and when I come back from winter break, I am bringing my winter and spring clothes

7. Is the work actually that hard at LSU?

If you plan every assignment out to make sure you are not overwhelmed with the task, you will have enough time to focus on it. If you have questions, either form study groups or go to office hours.

8. Are LSU cults a thing?

YES. LSU cults are 100% a "thing."

9. What do we do the week before classes start?

LSU plans a bunch of fun events the week before classes, so you also have the opportunity to see around Baton Rouge, find your classes, and meet people before your first day.

10. Should I know the LSU alma mater before I get to campus?

No, you'll learn it by the first football game.

11. Will my dog think I’m dead?

No, and FaceTiming your dog can instantly cheer up your day.

12. Is the 459 dining hall food that bad?

It honestly depends on the day.

13. Will I even make friends?

I guarantee you will make at least one friend.

14. Did I buy everything I even need?

I used a checklist from a website and added some things that friends recommended. Then I bought everything I would need. Plus, once you move in, you can see if you forgot anything, and then make a quick trip to Walmart, so don't fret about packing everything.

15. What’s the difference between subsidized and unsubsidized loans?

HAHAHAHA does anyone even know? But honestly, if you have questions, reach out to LSU's financial aid office, or check out the Federal Student Aid website.

16. Where can we buy our season football tickets?

You should get an email, but you can also check the LSU's ticket website if you're anxious!

17. Is everything true about the LSU professors on ratemyprofessor.com?

Yes, yes, and yes.

18. How do you even do laundry?

www.youtube.com is your best friend.

19. How bad is the student debt?

It really depends on how much you have saved up.

20. Is college the best time of my life?

1,000% yes!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
