As I come to the age where I am having friends graduate and start going into the real world, there comes the time where more and more people I know are getting into serious relationships and starting to get married. With all this happening around me, I think to myself, when is that going to be me? So like I do with all parts of my life, I turn to God. In my nightly prayer time, God laid it on my heart that for me to be able to Love someone for the rest of my life, I first have to be so in love Him, that my future husband has to go through God to find me and love myself before I could be in love with another.

1. Love God

In Deuteronomy 6:5 it states "Love the Lord your God, with all your heart with all your soul and with all your strength." God created us to live and love, but we can not love without His love, He loved us before we were born, before we were a thought on Earth. He has a plan for our life, that includes loving Him first and then others including ourselves. When falling in love, fall for someone who loves the Lord so much, and is so close to him, that you both have to turn to God to find each other. You, however, can not turn to him to find you love, if you haven't fallen in love with Him first. He is your greatest love in your life.

2. Love Yourself

We are commanded to put others before ourselves. When it comes to falling in love, I feel that you should put yourself first, and make sure you are in love with yourself. If you are not in love with yourself before starting a relationship with another, you will find it hard to love someone else. Loving yourself is something everybody needs to do! I know at times its hard, you don't like what you look like, how much you weigh, your job etc and etc. But you have to come to love yourself though all of that in order to fall in love with your perfect love. Learning to love yourself will open you up to positivity and love that you wouldn't think to expect.
