There's something about the very first day of school that makes me so excited. I always love the feeling the night before of getting everything ready for my classes. Even though I'm in college, that feeling hasn't faded. The night before class starts I can never sleep because I'm too excited. This might be super nerdy or maybe something that only happens to me, but I seriously love school. I love learning and I love knowing that my going to school is only going to better my future. I know that school isn't for everyone, and I would never judge anyone for not going to school, but for me, it's the best. I never want to stop learning. I never want to feel like I've learned all that I can. This world is filled with so much knowledge and so much to be learned. I never want to miss an opportunity to further my knowledge.

So the first day of school is my favorite. I get to think about all that the new year will bring-- the good, the bad, and the stressful. I get excited to meet new people, meet my professors, and dive right into more learning. Maybe it was the way my parents raised me, to value and appreciate education, that has caused me to love learning as much as I do.

Don't get me wrong, I love my weekends and when my classes get canceled in winter but I love the opportunities college brings and the school year means I get to be in my favorite city, seeing some of my best friends, while I get to grow and learn every day.
