Love Is Blind Review

As we all know, Netflix is the best. Netflix provides us with classic T.V. shows and movies to watch with our friends and families. However, Netflix provides us with their new masterpiece- Love Is Blind. I know what you're thinking- another stupid reality dating show, just watch the Bachelor. NO. I can say I do not like reality dating shows, however, I would like to name my firstborn after the creator of this television program. This show is genuinely amazing and like no other.

The concept is that a group of attractive 20-40-year-old men and attractive 20-40-year-old women all date each other. The women live on one side and the men live on the other. The dates happen in pods, where there is a wall between the two people. In order to "escape" the pod, the man must propose to the woman and only after being engaged, the two can meet and begin the rest of their lives together... if they're lucky. The couples jet set off to Mexico, and then move in together. After leaving the pods, there are 30 days until the wedding. I know what you're thinking- why would anyone do this? what about the rest of the people in the pods? are these people mentally sane? None of that is important. This show has taken over my friends and I's lives. One of my male friends who you would never really think would ever watch a show like this, said yesterday "I really can not stop thinking about Love Is Blind" while we were doing homework. It's addicting, amazing and perfect for every type of mood.

The Couples:

Kelly & Kenny: Kelly and Kenny are who you want your neighbors to be. They are the most perfect, boring, couple. They are genuinely made for each other and could not be any more perfect. If Kelly and Kenny do not make it, I will be giving up on love. They're perfect and that's it.

Jessica & Mark: Jessica and Mark are the most confusing couple of all time. Jessica is a 34-year-old lunatic and Mark is a whipped 24-year-old. She is genuinely insane and uses a baby voice when she speaks to these men and constantly brings up the age difference between her and Mark and it is genuinely not a big deal at all. Mark is so weirdly devoted to her even though she is revolted by the sight of him and constantly wishes she was back in the pods. I hope they don't get married for both their sakes.

Giannina & Damien: Giannina and Damien are the 2nd most confusing couple of all time. She is genuinely insane and will just yell at him for no reason at all- also her vocal strain is worse than all of the Kardashians combined. Damien is a nice, simple guy but can barely form a coherent sentence. I think they'll get married but will live a life of anger.

Barnett & Amber: Barnett and Amber are both kind of the worst, but also kind of the best. Barnett is the guy who every 17-year-old girl loves who played baseball and is just an older frat-boy. Amber is the ultimate "I'm just one of the guys- I'm friends with boys because they're less drama". Also, Jessica is in love with Barnett so that's just a whole other level of drama.

Lauren & Cameron: Everyone likes Lauren & Cameron, but I find them kind of spooky. They were the first ones to fall in love, but I have my doubts.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
