Why I Love Concerts
Forbes

I remember the feeling I had when I saw Coldplay perform "Fix You" live in concert, and I remember the happiness I felt when I saw Taylor Swift on her "1989" tour. That emotion or feeling is hard to describe, but it's one of the best moments I've had so far in my life. Those moments and emotions are the reason why I attend concerts. It's the reason why I spend money on seats to watch my favorite band or singer perform less than 50 feet away from me. It has become a lifestyle for me to go to concerts because it creates genuine happiness.

I've attended at least 15 concerts in the last four years. And I can tell you that I consider each and every one of those concerts a night well spent. When you attend a concert, especially if it's one of your favorite performers, you get this bubble of excitement when they're about to go up on stage. Or when you go with a group of your best buds and fan-girl about your favorite band and randomly scream out, "I'm breathing their air!" or " I'm about to die!" (of excitement, of course). Those are moments and memories that I cherish the most, and I wouldn't have any of them if it weren't for attending these concerts.

However, my absolute favorite moment of every concert I've attended is when the whole crowd sings along. The entire crowd is singing in unison to the same song and lighting up the arena with lights from their phones; I genuinely love that feeling. It reminds me of the time when I went to Ed Sheeran's concert and he was performing "Thinking Out Loud," and everyone was mesmerized by him. I remember I took a moment to stare at the crowd and all I saw were faces full of joy. A sea of people in a peaceful state of mind and not wanting to let go of the night.

That's the reason why it's my favorite moment because the crowd forgets any negative thing that is happening in their lives for a moment. We don't set any standards or become judgmental. We don't think for a second about the person next to us and their race, economic status, etc. The crowd bonds with your happiness and excitement because you are all enjoying the same performer, who you probably jam to every day and have all the albums of. It creates this magical atmosphere that shifts to a peaceful mood that no one can take away.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
