The moment you've all been waiting for, the Wilson College Cafe is finally open! The cafe had it's grand opening this past Friday and it is certainly living up to the hype. The cafe is a new, fantastic alternative to the cafeteria when it's not open. (or when it is). For its initial opening, only a limited menu was offered but there is much more to come. The selection for this weekend included a variety of coffees, hot and cold drinks, and a selection of foods such as fruit, parfaits cups, and hummus plates. All are offered at very reasonable prices.

The majority of items that will be offered in the cafe are homemade, which a definite benefit of this new cafe, such as the hummus and parfait cups. Starting Monday, October 24th a more complete menu will be offered including subs, salads, sandwiches, smoothies, hot chocolate, mochas and more. The subs salads and sandwiches will be made to order, customized just for you. The REAL fruit smoothies offered will vary however they will be offering strawberry mango, berry banana yogurt, and a green smoothie (spinach, avocado etc.) that will have the option to add protein for a full meal in a cup. The subs and salads will range from $5-$7, while the smoothies will range from $3-$5 due to the meal replacement smoothie. Subs of the week and alterations will be available as the menus grows and changes. In addition to all the delicious drinks, meals, and snacks that will be available, energy drinks, muscle and coconut milk, and juices will be available for purchase. I personally have tried the hot apple cider and their hot chocolate both of which really hit the spot. Overall reviews so far are that the drinks are fantastic and everyone is looking forward to more. We hope you will come and check out the new place to spend your time on campus and enjoy some of the delicious options that are available. This is an exciting addition to our campus and there is much more to come!

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
