Sometimes, it's inevitable and we quite honestly can't figure out how we always manage to get hurt. Anyone who is prone to accidents can relate to this. We literally do not know why it has to be us, but we'll continue on, rolling with it. As I type this, I have a huge bandage wrapped around my hand because (my first day with a box cutter) at a new job I've had for about a week, go figure, I sliced my hand open.
When you're out with friends and your accident prone self decides it's time to get hurt and ruin the fun... It literally sometimes prevents us from leaving the house. I had a bad experience with bowling once (I broke two of my fingers), so my friends know not to invite me to bowling night anymore.
When walking through the house, it seems like all the table corners and feet of furniture finds our week spots (extremities, knees, funny bones that are not funny, and pretty much all of our body). Just makes us want to scream "REALLY?!"
When we're laying in bed on our phone, contently scrolling through social media and our phone falls square onto our face... That pain is enough to bring tears.
When you're trying to get comfortable and you go to pull the covers up, but instead your grip fails and you punch yourself in the face...
When at the workplace and even though you follow all safety guidelines, you still manage to hurt yourself somehow. Accidents are just so easy for us.
At the end of the day, we all just wonder "why us?"
We just can't help fate. From tripping over our own feet, to falling up the stairs, we've been there, done that. Sometimes our family and friends suggest we just be put in a bubble for our own safety. But, hey, giant hamster balls seem super cool.
