Living in a sorority house is a once in a lifetime experience. It’s basically a mixture of summer camp and college. In other words, it’s both great and insane at the same time. And who better to describe it than the one and only Amy Poehler?
1. Living with 40 of your best friends
It’s always nice coming home to your sisters after a long day of classes. You can just walk across the hall to hang out with friends and relax.
2. Having 40 closets to take clothes from
Need something cuter to wear during the day or something more fitting for the next mixer’s theme? Every sister is willing to share her clothes to anyone in the house.
3. Always have someone to go out with
Weekends are meant for blowing off steam and having fun, so it’s nice having so many other people that want to do that with you.
4. Always have someone to stress out with
School work gets difficult - there’s no avoiding that. But everyone else is in the same boat as you. Someone is always available to complain and vent to. It’s also so helpful having a study buddy for every single one of your classes.
5. Eating at any time is always acceptable
Just came back after a late night out? Or 10 hours in the library? Well, most likely someone has already ordered a pizza and you can just mooch off of them, or the snack cabinet is always there. No one will ever judge you.
6. Judgement-free zone at all times
Lazy Sundays. It’s nice to know that it’s okay to wake up at 11 A.M. with your makeup on from the night before without any judgement.
7. Never having a quiet house
Though sometimes this part of sorority house life isn’t too fun when you want to go to bed early or do work in your room, it’s a small price to pay to get to live with so many great people.
8. Always having binge-watching buddies
Having a TV downstairs that can connect to Netflix is definitely a plus. No matter what, you will always have a sister who is also down to start a new show or watch an old favorite. And you can freak out together about all the plot twists (#TGIT am I right?).
9. Always have advice for boy problems
No matter how horrifying or incredible the experience was with that guy last night was, someone in the house has gone through the same thing and will definitely be there to answer questions.
10. Never being bored
Guaranteed, there is always something to do and someone to do it with.
