Just do it.

First of all, if you haven't seen Shia LaBeouf's motivational video yet, you should really take the time to watch it. Just do it.

While it might just seem like you're watching the weird kid from "Even Stevens" yell at you while doing various power stances and flexing (let's face it, his poses really are what really make the video so golden). He has some pretty great words of advice. Sometimes we just need to be yelled at to understand.

Don't let your dreams be dreams.

What good are they going to do you as just being dreams? They only thing that's going to make your dreams even better is making them come true, so you might as well work on them. As Shia says, MAKE YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE.

Yesterday, you said tomorrow.

How many times do we all really need to hear this? It happens all the time. It's so easy to have a plan for something but just keep pushing it back. As long as we say we're going to do it we won't feel bad not going through with it because at least we intended to, but that won't get anything done. It's so much easier to say you'll do something than actually go and do it.

Nothing is impossible.

Nothing within reach, of course. There's no reason you can't get a solid B in calc even if you're terrible in math. Don't tell yourself you can't and don't sell yourself short. How would you know you can't do something if you've never tried?

If you're tired of starting over, stop giving up.

How many times do we start something new, get frustrated and give up? Sometimes it takes a while to get something.

Sometimes all it really takes is just to have someone tell us that yes, we can do it. It can be hard to have the motivation just to get out of bed some days, but we can still do it.

So if you're ever feeling down and in need of a good pep talk, just watch the video a few times to get pumped up. Just remember that Shia thinks you can do it.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
