To My Little: You Are My Little Family
Anna Jordan

Dear Little,

This is crazy and cheesy but it is us. I watched you go through a week of gifts waiting to find out that it was me who is going to be "your person" in the words of the oh so wise Christina Yang. I know I mentioned this to you before but I believe that this is something that you should know for the rest of our lives. I want you to know or remember that I am here as your sister, I am here as your best friend, and I am here as your mentor. You and I we are sorta stuck together. I would never trade you for the world! You see, you lucked out you are my one and only little, small, and tiny, your all I have in my little family. But that is okay because even after I am gone and graduated and being a little adult in a crazy big world, I am still going to be your big.

I will be there for you when you need to talk about guys, when you need to talk about the good, the bad, the ugly of the chapter. I am going to be here when you feel like you cannot keep going to motivate you and tell you that I believe in you and I am proud of not only the amazing sister I know you will become but also the amazing person I am lucky enough to see you become. We will laugh together, cry together, and I will answer your calls at 2 am if thats what you need. I am going to make sure you get the best experience from college and from the sorority because if you anything like me, which I know you basically are, you are going to fall in love with the sorority. You will get angry with it and want to walk away and I will be standing at the door to tell you to take a breath and turn around because you love it. You will endure crazy stupid things in life, not only in chapter but overall in all aspects of life and I will be standing there saying really dorky things but the one you will probably hear most beside, "I am proud of you," or "I believe in you," is "Don't give you little one I know you can do it."

Through all of life's obstacles I'm here to help guide you. Even if you just need to call me just because you need to vent, graduated or not I am here for you. When you are sick I will make sure you have medicine, if not we will go get you some, if you are just over everything and just can't anymore, I am here to listen and try help you solve life's silly puzzles.

Of all things Little, I want you to always remember to walk with your head held high, no matter the circumstances, because you don't want to let your crown fall.

I cannot wait for you to grow as an Alpha Sig, you have so much to discover in life and I am glad I get to be there with you for it all!

Sincerely,

Big

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
