Life of a Speed Demon

There are many violent crashes on many highways and during these times many people put safety behind their minds. While grabbing air and speed, the feverish pitch of just being free and hitting the pavement till your face melts off is always classic James Dean.

You can stop shy of delivering our last dance of youth but generally, burning rubber plus seeing this as a last-ditch effort before getting to old age is quite common. They prosper and look up to idols preferably close ones, like dad? You would smile at the fact that you are almost or mostly like your dad while you are driving.

It is always wise to know the rules of the road. Sometimes though it doesn’t feel like it pertains to everyone. You cannot lie that being a speed demon is a mash-up of inspiration and idolization. It is tempting to go as fast as you can. You feel like it is always the best for you, but there are dangers in being a speed demon, you can get hurt or worse die.

The lasting feeling of adrenaline and a rush of blood to the head is observed as menacing but very addicting, but in the end slowing down and being relaxed is what everyone does on the road. Yes expressing good common sense is achievable. Suddenly, you find yourself being respectful. This is what we learned naturally when we took our first driving lesson at age 16.

If speed demons stop obsessing over speed, there would be no daredevils and no plea for abnormality. In fact, the differences between a speed demon and a regular driver can only be imagined in our minds as a better choice because you drive without fear. However, living bolder is tempting. Starting in our youth, when we build a cloud of candy and who doesn’t like the taste of candy? Everyone cannot shake a sweet tooth, just like the taste for speed.

With the Indy 500 soon on its way, we can just imagine what it is like to be a speed demon and know that just by being an observer is just as exciting as feeling that adrenaline rush while watching them. You cannot avoid the fact though that living the life of a race car driver is so unchangeable and permanent.

Time seems to be right for a budding speed demon and the love for cars will not change too. It is like coming closer to heaven, when you achieve speed. A more pronounced way to be is to be a speed demon in your head. Never plunging too deep into the dark side. Life can be strange. The only times we can run free is in our dreams. The life of a speed demon will always foster good thoughts and unchaotic dreams.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
