Life seems to be a never-ending cycle of ups, downs, and swirls. It’s a roller coaster ride that we enjoy at times, but sometimes find ourselves wanting to get off of. One day you’re in high school, the next day you’re graduating college, and before you know it, you will be falling love and getting married. In Lee Brice’s song, "Love Like Crazy,” he tells a story about two young kids falling in love and getting married at a young age. Everyone doubts them, but they are determined to prove them wrong. By following these 8 simple steps, these people created a life of happiness, faith, and love.
Be a best friend.
Be a best friend to someone who needs your support, love, a listening ear, and faith. Sometimes one person can change the world. Be that one. Never hesitate to be someone’s person.
Tell the truth.
It may be tempting to lie yourself out of a sticky situation but by always telling the truth you are saving yourself so much agony and guilt. Be an honest and trustworthy person, always!
Overuse I love you.
Nothing is better than these three words. So simple and so sweet. Knowing you are loved is a feeling everyone dreams of.
Go to work.
Working for what you want, need, and deserve is so rewarding. Stealing and lying your way through life is no way to live. The achievement of making your first big purchase as an adult is so rewarding!
Do your best.
“If at first you don’t succeed, try try again.” As long as you know you did your best then there is nothing left to question. Always give your best effort at everything you do, and you will accomplish more than you think.
Don’t outsmart your common sense.
Let common sense be your guide through life. Never doubt yourself!
Never let your praying knees get lazy.
When you lose your light, look for brightness from the Man upstairs. Saying a prayer when you are frightened, worried, excited, or thankful will always make you feel better. God has all the answers you just have to be willing to hear them.
Love like crazy.
Do everything with a loving heart. Treat others as you wish to be treated. Open your heart up to others and never be afraid to fall in love!
I can’t help but to think of my great-grandparents when I hear this song. My great-grandparents have taught me so many lessons in life, similar to most of the lessons listed above. They both have set an example of what true love is. Living a humble life, keeping your faith, and loving like crazy, is just the groundwork to a happy life. The rest will fall into place.
