"When I think of all of this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from His glorious UNLIMITED resources, He will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make His home in your hearts as you trust in Him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, just how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made COMPLETE with all the FULLNESS of life and power that comes from God. Now, all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to do infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to Him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen." - Ephesians 3:14-21

Two weeks ago as I sat on my bed and read these words, I was bawling my eyes out. Life hit me out of nowhere and I was completely torn in half. With stuff going on at home and not being able to be there, to struggling internally with heartache. Life was extra hard that day.

Sometimes when we are experiencing hardships, we have no clue what to do. We want to read the Word, pray, or do something we just don't know how to go about it. That's when I find it easiest to just say "Jesus". Just over and over, declaring His name. Trusting Him, seeking Him and letting Him lead you to His voice. It was by no accident I found these verses in an email I had received. Being away from home can be so so difficult, and it can be really easy to just give up. But God doesn't want that. Trust that He knows what He is doing and that you are where He wants you to be. God is constant, through it all, and He should be Lord of our lives. He is capable of turning your heart around and creating in you a new hope and peace.Learn to be completely full by Jesus alone.

God is able to fill you with joy, and you should allow that to carry you throughout the week! God is GOOD, y'all. He loves us immensely. I wish I could comprehend it all, but that would take away from His wonderful glory. God, You are so good and Your name is matchless. I pray we find hope in that today, and every single day of our lives. I pray we don't keep you confined in our little boxes we can tend to put you in, but that we realize you are capable to do infinitely more than we might ask or think! You are not confined by our circumstances or battles. You are able, and You are willing. You are LORD. You do not need us, as I was humbly reminded of that today, but you WANT us. You pursue us, God. You are mighty and powerful to help us overcome any obstacle in our lives. Our God moves MOUNTAINS!!! How awesome, that He does this for us, the ones who deserve nothing, yet receive everything!!

God take control of our lives. Mold us, change us. God, break us. Make us new each morning as we cry out to you. There is POWER in the name of Jesus. He is here to save and to make us clean through his precious blood that was spilled on the cross.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
