Every time the new semester comes around, we always tell ourselves that this time, it will be different. We're going to straighten up and be better than we were before. LOL, well, at least it sounds good, but it usually never lasts for long. Here are a few of the many lies that we're all guilty of telling ourselves:
1. "I'm not going to skip any of my classes this semester."
Until that 8 a.m. smacks you in your face, and it feels impossible to get out of bed.
2. "I'm going to actually pay attention in class without dozing off."
AND take notes!
3. "I'm going to stop procrastinating."
That means no more waiting until the night before to type that 10 page paper.
4. "I'm going to actually put myself together before class."
BYE BYE, leggings!
5. "I'm going to start going to the gym every day."
6. "I'm going to eat healthier."
That means no more Ronzios at 2 a.m.
7. "I'm going to join and be more active in clubs."
Oh, and start looking for an internship.
8. "I'm going to stop taking naps during the day."
9. "I'm going to go to my professor's office hours to make sure I really understand the material."
10. "I'm going to ACTUALLY do the assigned readings."
11. "I'm going to get more sleep and watch less Netflix."
12. "I'm going to stop waiting until I have no more clean clothes to do my laundry."
