The LGBTQ+ Community Does Not, And Will Not Ever, Accept Pedophilia

Let's start off by stating as clearly as possible that homosexuality and pedophilia are not the same things, nor will they EVER be the same thing.

The acronym LGBTQ+ was designed to be a non-derogatory term to identify non-heterosexuality, whereas pedophilia is the disgusting act where an adult takes advantage of a minor. The false accusation that this community is trying to add a "P" to the acronym to include acts of pedophilia was first seen on a poster that was supposedly distributed by the LGBT community. This particular poster, indicating that the community was supportive of so-called "pedo rights", was made on a 4chan page. For those who are unaware of what exactly this website is, it is a bulletin board style website where anyone can post anything from comments to personal images. It is even designed to where users do not need to be registered with accounts in order to post and have their posts viewed by all who visit the page.

Therefore, anyone can make any type of "poster", claiming whatever they what and say that they are whoever they want to be, and thousands of people will believe them, sharing and retweeting this false information.

The picture included above is the poster in question, followed by a post made by the user that placed it there. The user states that if members of the LGBT community were allowed to showcase their relationships with the acronym then "pedosexuals" should be allowed a letter to trick people into accepting them. Even the post made shows that the individual who made the poster knew that the action was disagreeable and tried to bring hate to the LGBT community so that they would be recognized for nothing more than the lawbreakers that pedophiles are.

Anti-gay participants have even accused the community of already including the "P" in the acronym a long time ago. Calling members disgusting and disappointing. Yes, there is a "P" indicated in the acronym. The full acronym for the community is stated as, LGBTQQIP2SAA. This stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, queer, questioning, intersex, PANSEXUAL, 2 spirited, asexual, and ally. Pansexuality is the sexual orientation that includes romantic relationships with anyone that applies to all gender identifications and other sexual orientations. This does not have anything to do with age differences, especially excluding relationships that are deemed highly inappropriate. None of the letters that represent those corresponding sexual orientations include any acts that could even be compared to pedophilia for that matter.

This disgusting and repulsive campaign was designed to not only try to bring pedophilia to a state of normality but to bring down and ridicule happy and healthy relationships between consenting members of the LGBTQ community. This community was made to help those who want to share their love with others around them and be accepted for who they are. This does not, and will not ever, include crimes of molestation of young individuals.

The LGBTQ+ community will always and forever only support happy and healthy relationships between two consenting adults and will always spread positive awareness and happiness. Remember to try and do the same in your everyday lives and the world will start to become a positive and loving place.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
