To My Forever Friends,
As I heard each of your names called on graduation night I began to wonder about the future. It seems as though we were constantly being told that our friendships would not last. I distinctively remember being told that we would all go our separate ways after graduation, and as our individual paths changed our friendship would end. There is some truth to that statement. Our individual paths have changed. We are not sixteen year olds driving around singing to Miss New Booty, Yeah, or any Taylor Swift song ever. Of course these things still happen on occasion, but we are older and that is okay. I am proud of the people that you have become. More importantly, I am honored to still be friends with each one of you. No, we may not talk on a daily basis or see each other regularly, but one thing is certain you are my forever friends. When I need you I know that you will be there. Even if you cannot be with me physically, I know that you are all just one phone call away. Realistically I know that we are all still friends, because you all know too much. After all you are the only people on planet earth who can name every guy I’ve had a crush on since I was four. You are also the only people who can embarrassing stories that even I can’t remember. You know the real me. You know the rare side of me that few people have ever seen. You have been with me through some of the hardest moments of my life, and you are responsible for several blissfully happy memories. After all, you do realize a lot about your friendships when you’re stuck on the side of the road together for a few hours. On a more serious note, the reason that our friendship will never falter is because of the people that you are. Each of you serves a unique purpose in my life as well as in the world. Undeniably, the most beautiful souls that God has ever created are some of my best friend. You are more than a few friends that I have made along the way. You are my forever friends.
Yours Truly,
Brooke
