Dear Emotional Support Buddy,
Another great word to describe you would be my best friend. This is an open letter dedicated to you, for everyone and anyone to read. You have been there with me through all the ups and downs and for that I thank you. We have had some major laughs and some really major cries but at the end of the day neither of those have mattered because we have each other.
Whether it is over the loss of a family member, the betray of a friend, the break-up of a loved one, or the stress of life we always manage to meet up to "emotion" until we are able to laugh about our struggle. Pain starts as tears and tears turn to laugher which is one of the best feelings in the entire world.
You are capable of knowing when each and every thing that stings me, and you know exactly what will solve each one of these dilemmas that come into my life. When someone comes and jumbles up my world you're the first to ask where they are, and jump at the ready to fix it.
But, Emotional Support Buddy, remember not all the emotions we have together are tearjerkers in a bad way. I have so many hilarious and laughter-driven joyful memories with you and that in itself is more than I could ever ask for. We have laughed to the point of crying, which in our book is a win. I could only imagine that I would one day find someone who matched my personality as exactly as you did.
We have fine-tuned our friendship to the point where we can communicate by a single look. Which, I will say don't end in our favor most of our time because in a crowded room we often bust out laughing. We could laugh for hours on end leaving those in presence unsure how to handle the two of us. The inside jokes we share over chips and dip make for the most everlasting memories, and we are often found sitting giggling over a ridiculous show.
You are the only person out there who, without exception, always gets my sense of humor, my side comments, private texts, and never under any circumstances makes me feel unwanted.
When it comes to life there is so much uncertainty, but I do know one thing. We will always have each other to listen to sappy music, until we're both eventually laughing until our sides hurt. We have made a little home for each other making sure we always had a safe place to run to whenever we felt as though we were under fire. You're my best friend and my home and for that I am eternally gratefully.
Sincerely,
YOUR Emotional Support Buddy
