Dear My Future Children,

I promise to get a nice house with a big backyard for you to grow into and have room for friends to come over and play in.

No matter your color, your size, or where you came from, I will love you with all of my heart.

When the storms come in and they scare you, I’ll bunker down with you in my bed.

We will always have nap time together whenever we feel like it.

I’ll help potty train you and be there through the accidents. Please just excuse my occasional frustration.

I’ll lay next to you when you aren’t feeling good.

You will have the best doctors and always be up to date with your vaccinations.

We will sit inside near the A/C when it is too hot.

We will take long strolls together to watch the birds fly and squirrels shimmy up trees.

We will see the world together throughout your life.

I’ll never leave you alone in the car.

I'll never let you wander too close to the street.

We will watch our favorite shows when we are bored.

I’ll always make sure that your boo boos are tended to.

We will dance to our favorite songs by 'Lil Bow Wow, Snoop Dog, and Phil Collins.

I’ll make sure your nails are clipped, for my safety and yours.

In the winter, we will have matching sweaters and eat treats by the fire.

I will buy the best food to keep you healthy, happy, and growing strong.

You will attend the best school, where you will learn and I will help you with your homework.

We will find new places to swim, to lay near, or to just wade in.

We will go play catch as much as possible.

I’ll be there as much as possible when you are young, but, at some points, you will be alone. However, I will leave the TV on for you and occasionally call and leave a voicemail.

You’ll see me at my best and my worst.

You will be my best friend and I will be the one who feeds you.

I will be the one who brushes your hair and teeth.

I will be the one who gives you baths, even though you hate them.

I will be the one who will take you on play dates with friends.

I will be the one who will make sure that your dreams are filled with happiness.

I will be the one who will take you to go potty whenever nature calls, if you wake me from my slumber.

I will be around when your hair turns grey and your legs weaken.

I will make sure that you have a beautiful, long life.

We will spend our best days together.

Finally, you should know that you will always feel loved, as you will hopefully love me, because I chose you and a life filled with happiness that will last until the end.

Love,

Your Mom, Owner, and best friend

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
