To the stuffed animal that is currently getting me through college,

I don't even know where to begin with all the endless help you have given me. I have so much to be grateful for, and I don't think I could have survived my first semester without you. To the one who listens to all of my complaints and catches all my tears from falling on the floor. To the one that is there to comfort me on my best and worse days, this is an appreciation post just for you. Just a little something to say thanks for the lifetime of love.

First off, I commend you for surviving my bed situation when I have those brutal 8 a.m.'s. It can get a little messy on those kinds of mornings, so I could understand why you would want to pack a bag and leave at some point. Secondly, I am so shocked that you haven't disintegrated with all the times I've had to wash you from falling on the floor. Coming from a queen bed at home, the space that the twin bed has to offer is finally part of my lifestyle (but its still going to take time).

Another huge benefit of having you around is that everyone knows you. You have become so popular in my room, and you never cease to amaze those who stay the night and need a pillow. As for me, your the best pillow I could ever ask for. Especially during those nights where we all get sick and need a little more elevation on the head (the freshman plague is a real thing).

Now for the mushy part. Thank you for being a pillow to cry on when things start to go a little downhill. I know we both miss home sometimes, but having you around to comfort me on my worst days, is the best. I love looking at you, and being reminded to never change, and remembering that it's okay to stay a kid.

Every girl reading this can understand that sometimes we have our moments, and sometimes having our favorite stuffed animal is extremely necessary. I love having you around to see the things Mom and Dad would be proud of (which I hope is a lot), and thanks for covering your eyes during the things that they might not be so proud of (let’s face it). I'm really gonna need you now that finals are approaching. College is not high school, and stress is a real thing.

So having you around for this roller coaster of an experience, is truly a blessing. Next semester should be really great too. I can’t wait to see what the future brings, and I love having a piece of my childhood on my journey to adulthood. Thanks for continuously sticking by my side, and for being the best DIY therapist, a college girl could ask for. You know what they say, people come and go, but your favorite stuffed animal will always stay.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
