Hey Kid,
First of all, my fashion sense and wardrobe options have increased ten fold since moving in. That really rocks.
Aside from the new clothes, it takes many other qualities to be a truly phenomenal roommate. You are the most encouraging girl out there. I mean that in more than one way. You encourage me to do my best and to be the best version of myself. For those of you that have never entered our cozy home, there are few people more into encouraging quotes. You encourage me to make good decisions and occasionally some bad ones too (last week you let me watch the Bad Girls Club for far far too long).
You make me laugh way too hard sometimes. There is nothing quite like walking into our room at 2 am to find that you have let in our entire rag tag crowd of friends. Everyone is on the floor and for some reason one is absolutely soaked from running through the sprinklers on the quad. Things like that. They get me.
You are also the definition of a partner in crime. I realize that is unbelievably cheesy but so true. Thank you for being a strong, independent woman with me and being unapologetically yourself. Sometimes you need someone to remind you that today is your day and this year is your year. I like that I get forced to eat the second Pop Tart in the package when you don't want it. I even secretly like when you want me to split a Twix bar with you.
Thank you for letting me play the same, not so great songs, over and over again (there’s nothing like 50 Cent’s Disco Inferno at 9am). I am glad we wear the same size shoes cause yours are just cooler than mine honestly. Thank you for reminding me to sign up for housing, even though I forgot for a few days anyways. Thank you being honest and telling me when there is something in my teeth or if my outfit is not working well for me.
I know the year is young and our room is still clean (which probably wont last forever), but I can already tell that you are one of the best decisions I have made so far. I am glad we met in FYS and bonded over the guy that dropped the S word in class because he was too worked up over Gone Girl. I am going to see you in a few minutes anyways.
Much love to you my friend.
