A Letter to My Little

A Letter to My Little

To be completely honest, I don't even know where to begin. AH, I know, how typical of me, blah blah blah. But whatever… here goes nothing.

Dear My Minion,

This coming Friday is the day I finally get to initiate you into one of the best families and sisterhoods in THE universe (no exaggeration). To be completely honest it's probably one of the greatest things I get to do for you. Regardless of having to wake up super early and engage with people (which I know will kill us both: not morning people), I'm so happy I get to spend this life long tradition with you. Big and little is a concept like not other. Being a big, especially to you, has been one of the few things I take the upmost pride in, because I know from here on out that you'll forever be my little and hold the KEY to my heart. Knowing that in its self means you're trapped… trapped with me for eternity and for that I'm greatly sorry.

BUT one thing that will always remain true and strong through this life time of misery (for you) is that no matter what you'll always have me. I will always be there to catch you when you fall. I will always be there to make you laugh and annoy you to death. I will always be there to make bad decisions with you. I will always be there if you need me to do your homework or drink when you've done bad on it. I will always be there for a jam sesh or a heart-to-heart. I will always be there to make you feel less of a fat ass (especially when we eat all of our hibachi, no shame). I will always be there for you even when you just want to spend the day drinking mimosas and watching GG. I will always be there to embarrass you as I run and jump into your arms and say "MY LITTLE" (at the top of my lungs no doubt). I will always be there for you through the ups and downs of life because no matter how far from now or how old we get… we get this opportunity to do it together. AND THAT RIGHT THERE, makes all the difference in the world to me. So, I'm going to apologize now and then for being that leach you'll never be able to get rid of but my goal is that hopefully one day you'll thank me.

Because I know I'm so thankful to not only call you my little but my best friend. Like you unknowingly said last Friday night, "OMG MEET MY BIG… she's like my best friend in the entire world." You'll never understand the joy and comfort I find in you being so proud to call me not only your big but your best friend. Now looking back, I can honestly say it was LOVE at first sight, because the first time I took you to dinner (Tokyo) and every time after that I knew that you were the one for me. Because through it all you're ONE in a MINION. Ah, I know I know, how cheesy, but lets face it you know I'm more of the mushy gushy type anyways. However, just know I'm so so so so happy to be YOUR big. It was a blessing that we were able to realize it right away because we knew life wouldn't be the same without being able to call each other BIG & LITTLE.

So, here's a cheer to a lifetime of misery from me to you. XOXO. Drink up… hopefully better days are yet to come!

HEHE… I love you MORE than Agnes loves her Fluffy Unicorn, Gru loves the Moon, Minions love their bananas and more than the purple Minions say "BAH" x's a minion + one.

Love Forever and Always,

The Happiest BIG in DA World

PS: I GET TO SEE YOU TOMORROW AND WE GET TO GO TO TOKYO AND SKATE NITE THIS WEEK :) AHHHHHHH!! YAY!! Happy Initiation Week!!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
