A Letter From God: You Are Not Your Mistakes

You are clean, my blood flowed red to make you white.

A Letter From God: You Are Not Your Mistakes
Michaela Taylor

My love,

I know what you feel when you look at your past and regret every decision. I see every tear that falls down your face as you try to figure out what you were thinking. I hear your thoughts when you think that I won't forgive you. I know how much you want to go back and change time, but you can't.

I want you to know that you are not measured by your lowest moments or deepest regrets. Don't hide in the shadows of your past. Don't be trapped in the darkness of shattered memories. Step out into the light and live life the way I intended you to live.

Where you see shattered, I see a chance to make you whole again.

Where you see broken, I see beautiful.

I don't look at you and see your mistakes. There's nothing too dirty that I can't make worthy. I wash you in mercy and grace. When I look at you, I see Me. I see a beautiful person who is worth more than this world. Don't waste your tears wondering if you are enough for Me, because you are. I handcrafted you after the image of Me. So, fall in love with what you see in the mirror because every single part of you is enough for Me. You are my creation. Hold your head high and know that you are a child of the one true King. Know that my grace falls like rain and covers you and everyone of your mistakes. Know that I am the answer to ultimate peace and understanding. Look to me and see that you are flawless.

I sacrificed my own son, in the most painful way, for you. Because of this, you are forgiven of your sins, not because of anything you have done to repair them, but, because of what Jesus did. You are set apart, forgiven and set free of every weight from your passed mistakes. The cross is what makes you flawless. So, don't get caught up on what has already happened. Look to the future and see what I am doing in your life right now. Use your past as a testimony. Instead of carrying your mistakes with you, place them under your feet and use them as stepping stones. Grow in My word. When you look back on your life, look and see how far you have come and where I have taken you.

I don't ask you to be perfect. You will make more mistakes in your life. All I ask is that you see that you a sweetly broken and realize that I will pick you back up and mend you together.

Know that your worth comes from Me. The One who calls you by name and The One who knows your every move. The One who knows how many hairs are on your head and your every thought. I don't look at you and see your mistakes, I see your worth.

Don't let the devil tell you that you are not enough for me. You are not your mistakes. I saw you hurting and I rescued you from the bondages of sin. No matter how dirty your past may be, My son has made you clean. You can live in paradise with the King of Kings once you turn away from your sin and live for Me.

I will always be there to restore you, piece by piece.

Every single part of you is enough for me.

You are my child and my love.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
