Video games have constantly grown over the years from GameBoy's to Wii's and Xbox's to Playstation's. Gaming is something that is so popular. Now Gaming can tend to be viewed as more of a guy thing, but that is not the case at all. There are so many girls that love video games and a lot of them are great gamers too. I am not one of them.

I absolutely love to watch let's plays and see all the new games that are coming out, but I am awful at trying to actually play most any video game. If you don't know what a let's play is it's basically when someone films themselves playing a video game and commentates on it, kind of like sports, but more interesting.

Now, even though I am completely terrible at actually playing games, it doesn't mean that I can't appreciate them. I am constantly amazed at how much video games can accomplish. I just finished watching someone play through "Detroit: Become Human" and that game is astounding. From the storyline to the animation and motion capture, it is just a beautiful game.

There are so many games that I truly love and enjoy and will totally nerd out over and just because I can't play them doesn't mean that I can't enjoy them. There are so many things that I love about being able to watch let's plays. From seeing the game to seeing how someone else makes the decisions and thinking of if you would do the same is so much fun. Plus it is an amazing conversation to have with people. I have been able to have so many conversations with people and actually know what I'm talking about because I love let's plays so much!

I would highly recommend watching a let's play if you are interested in a video game or just want to learn more about video games. So whether you absolutely love videos games, or you are interested in what the hype is about, take a second and go watch a let's play. They're really fun. Speaking from experience, I used to not really pay any attention to video games, but ever since I started watching let's plays I have fallen more in love with them and the artistry behind them.

It doesn't matter to me that I can't really play video games well and it doesn't matter to me that I'm a girl who loves video games because I'm going to love what I love. I totally accept being a complete nerd and I love it! If you want to be a gamer girl or just watch let's plays, go out and enjoy what you love. Don't let people tell you what you can and cannot enjoy, it's your life and you live it to the best. In the end, I'm never going to not enjoy some kind of let's play and I am 100% okay with that!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
