1. You might not be your happiest at your skinniest.
Hunger--starving yourself to lose that extra pound--can make you a vile, mean human being. Don't sacrifice the amount of love you have to give for that next jean size down. No one looks at your body and thinks, "Wow, I wonder what she would look like five pounds lighter?" but you.
2. Set aside time to do what you love--what you were born to do.
If you don't, there is no point in existing. The everyday mundane tasks can build up and can become overwhelming--but don't let them leech the passion from you.
3. Passion is attractive.
Not just in relationships--friendships, too. People are attracted to people who are happy to be alive and care about something bigger than themselves. No amount of mascara can match the sparkle in an inspired person's eye.
4. People will remember you for something.
Make it something you would be proud to tell your grandchildren one day. Make it something you can look back on and say, "Because I did this, I know I can do anything."
5. Life is easier when you give it to God.
It's cliche, but true--you can't do it alone. Rather, you can, but it is a lot better when you don't have to. Knowing someone has your back at all times--and that that someone has plans for you--brings you peace and joy that others can see.
6. You don't always have to live in the moment.
It's okay to plan for the future. It's okay to spend more time dreaming than thinking about the now. If you are happy, you can continue doing what you're doing. We all experience life differently.
7. You can love more than one person.
Love comes in many shapes and forms, and it's important to experience each love deeply. You have a lot of love to give. Love your friends so much that your heart swells when you think of them. Love your dog so much that you never want to imagine your life without them. Love your S.O. so much that you could never put it into words--enough that it would be hard to even try.
8. If you're lucky enough to have a dream, you have to go for it.
You get one life, one chance to experience all this world has to offer. It would be a shame if you let it pass you by.
