In my short lifetime, I've watched countless films and I can honestly say I do not regret watching any one of them. Many of them have been terrible and downright brutal to watch, but each of them taught me something about myself and cinema.
I believe that is the beauty of cinematic storytelling. We can all learn about ourselves and the world around us in a dark, crowded room and everyone will take away something different. Great cinema, in my view, has the ability to touch us all on a deep, meaningful, and very human level. Great cinema brings us together and reminds us despite all of our differences that we use to divide one another, we all struggle and we all have problems and dreams and we all are human.
My hope is to create a series of articles, in which I share my thoughts on cinema, stories about my relationship with the movies, and introduce or reintroduce people to truly great cinematic works. The films will most likely range from goofy comedies to arthouse films and I hope they can touch your heart and make you feel connected to the world around you because cinema is the story of us.
